My hairdresser, the fabulous Barbara James, gifted me with a haircut this morning. I’d decided I’d rather be shorn than greeted by big clumps of curls on my pillow each morning. Patti Ballaz, a friend who is a pro shooter, documented the event.
The haircut didn’t make me cry, but the donation of time and effort by my two friends did.
Thanks, Ladies!

I love the new hair do!!
wHAT A GREAT BLOG, YOU LOOK JUST AS PRETTY . gOD BLESS YOU AND MAY EVERYTHING GO EASILY AND QUICKLY DURING YOUR TREATMENTS. iN hIS lOVE,jACKIE
Contrats — you look great. Two weeks after my first chemo treatment when my hair started coming out big time, I made called up my son and daughter in law, we went to lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant, and they shaved my head! I left their home festively wearing a red bandana headscarf. They took a picture, said I looked like Kenny Chesney and we had a good laugh. Enjoy your new “do”. Here in Phoenix, I never even wore a wig beacuse my chemo ended in July and it was just too darned hot. It grew back, darker, chemo curls and all.
My, all that hair on the floor. Looks like Chia pet.
Excellent pics. Thank you, Peter Pan.
Be well…GET well.
Cheers, Capt. Hook
Nice photo documentary.
Joyce…Rejoyce!! You look adorable. THEY should have known you when I did with a flaming, long, curly mane.
All this and more so we can join you at your 60th!!
I’m in London awaiting my final leg home to Motown.

Ohmygosh…I absolutely LOVE your new do. You remind me of Dame Judy Dench somewhat…very smart, classy look for you. I agree with Bonnie…you look adorable. That was awfully nice of them…I see you brought the whole family!! Wish I’d been there….how fun!!
I agree with Tony. I love the new haircut! Very hip. Reading this from London and won’t be back for a week or two but thinking of you and hoping all is going well!
